COPA is a crypto advocacy group dedicated to keeping blockchain technologies open and free for use. By partnering with Unified Patents, COPA aims to protect developers from the legal challenges posed by patent trolls. Unified Patents has a track record of successfully challenging over 100 NPE patents, making them a strong ally in this fight.
The Blockchain Zone is designed to deter patent trolls through various strategies, including legal challenges, crowdsourcing, and publishing prior art. By invalidating NPE assertions and securing no-money settlements, the initiative seeks to safeguard blockchain innovations and ensure that developers can continue to create without the fear of unwarranted legal battles.
