Event financing is a highly inefficient market, with the organizers getting the short end of the stick. Large events require huge amounts of upfront capital to bankroll. The GET protocol bought 48,000 tickets and burned 60,000 GET in Q2 of 2020. The total amount of state changes was 50% lower than the Q1 buyback due to the COVID lockdown of the whole economy. An all-time record was set in the total number of events generating state changes, with 562 events.
